Competent Person Training

OSHA expects a competent person on trenches, scaffolds and fall hazards. These courses give your people the knowledge and the authority to act.

Overview

A competent person can identify existing and predictable hazards and has authority to correct them. These courses train foremen and leads to inspect excavations, scaffolds and fall protection systems, and to stop work when conditions change.

STC also teaches the NUCA excavation and confined space courses and NCCER crew leader and core curricula for contractors who standardize on them.

  • Authority, not just awareness

Courses train leads to inspect, decide and stop work when conditions change.

  • Hands-on scaffold time

Six of the sixteen scaffold hours are spent building and dismantling.

  • NUCA and NCCER

Recognized contractor curricula alongside STC's own courses.
